Two figures

Two figures, a man and woman, sit with their backs to each other. They each sit on a different edge of the bed, lost in thought, each in their own world. Both figures are literally and figuratively separated.
A severe cut mercilessly divides the bed into two separate, but incomplete parts. This image was already on display during the Watou 2017 Art festival( www.kunstenfestivalwatou.be)
wich was “ about loneliness” These sculptures are therefore a good example of how loniless occur when you are not alone. Where in Dekoninck we are usually confronted with isolated images, we now see two figures. The lack of communication is all the more apparent.
